Midlas is a not for profit organisation in Midland that provides Financial, Tenancy, Legal and Disability Advocacy. We work with other organisations to ensure holistic services for clients as part of our vision to build resilient communities.
About the role
The Senior Disability Advocate is responsible for:
- Supporting individuals and their families to lodge internal and external merit reviews
- Supervising a small team of 3 advocates
- Preparing statistics and reports for the funding body
- Developing and delivering community education sessions
- Working collaboratively with other organisations to support individuals and their families to access supports, utilise their funding, and negotiate for changes

Skills and experience
The person we are looking for will have:
- Supervisory experience
- Excellent computer literacy
- Good working knowledge of the NDIS and disability services
- Passion for working with people with a disability, and
- Ideally experience in advocacy.
