About this opportunity
As a Support Worker, you will deliver a variety of services to participants to support them to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community. Your working day may include (but not limited to), assistance and or support with daily life, including personal care, domestic activities, social and community participation and varying skill development activities.
What do you need?
- You will need a Certificate 3 or 4 in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care or Home and Community Care.
- A current valid Driver's License and a registered vehicle (including insurance) plus
- Satisfactory Police Records Check and Working with Children Check, prior to commencement
- Applicants having experience and knowledge in psychosocial disability will be at an advantage
You'll appreciate your decision-making skills in this role, as well as your ability to know when to be compassionate (and when to gently push & encourage!). If you've worked in social services, a residential care facility, a hospital, aged care setting, prison or mental health facility you'll find yourself drawing on those experiences, too - but they're not the be-all and end-all as we do provide support and training to ensure you excel in this role!
