An exciting new opportunity has become available to work as a Foundation Manager, located in the inner suburbs.

Client Details

Our client is an education based not for profit, focusing on training and learning development with young adults. They support young adults by offering them different pathways to employment following school.

Description

The overall purpose is to introduce new opportunity through grants, tenders and building relationships. The role also needs to design programs and seek out and secure new funders to support the foundations evolving needs.

This position is a pivotal role within the organisation which will require you to oversee the management of day-to-day operations of the foundation. The Foundation Manager needs to be able to work independently and take ownership of the management of the foundation and various external relationships.

You will provide executive assistance to senior management and manage all foundation activities including donor record keeping and correspondence, research, planned giving, grant writing, overall support and overseeing periodic mailings.

Profile

  • Working knowledge of writing successful grants with proven ability to respond to specific criterion and managing teams
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills including collating external information and writing from scratch
  • Experience in working on multiple projects, both operationally and strategically
  • Sound relationship management skills, negotiation & interpersonal skills
  • Extensive experience working with external stakeholders and follow through on meeting outcomes
  • Self-motivated with the initiative and drive to work autonomously
  • Possess excellent organizational skills & are able to undertake high level research and providing briefs
  • Prepare a variety of high quality written documents i.e. correspondence, which meet needs of the organization
  • Understanding of donor grant making principles
  • A high understanding and use of confidentiality and discretion
  • Demonstrate a high level of organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Travel interstate as and when required
