A Not For Profit organisation has been awarded the Federal Government In Home Care Program which will be rolled out over 4 years. The role as In Home Care Support Agency Team Leader will be based in Brisbane and will be leading a team of 4.

The Team Leader plays a key role in program delivery by advocating for families, brokering care arrangements and matching families to suitable In Home Care Services.

Serving as an example for all other members of the team, the Team Leader will advise, mentor, motivate a small team of client liaison officers and lead movement toward the organisational vision, values, strategic and operational direction.
The Team Leader role is focussed on the following:
  • Providing day to day support, guidance and management to Client Liaison Officers in their role with families and organisation policy and procedures.
  • Meet regularly with Client Liaison Officers both individually and as a team to ensure they are able to meet requirements of the role and influence future planning and development of the service and staff performance.
  • Support team members in problem solving and issue management.
  • Participate in operational planning to assist with project development and budgetary requirements
  • Review quality control procedures and ensuring compliance has been met
  • Work closely with the Program Manager and External agencies within government and local communities
Requirements:
  • A strong passion or interest working with families and communities
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Qualifications in Community Services or related field and/or relevant experience.
  • Previous project or program coordination experience
  • Current Suitability for Child Related Employment card or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Ability to travel and stay away from home on infrequent occasions.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
  • The ability to work autonomously
  • Conflict resolution and trouble-shooting skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Proven skills in the use of Microsoft Office products including outlook, word and excel.
  • Be agreeable to obtaining a criminal history check.
