St Jude's Disability Services is a growing service provider in Western Australia. Our purpose is to maximise the health, enjoyment, and quality of life of people seeking support in our community.

Due to expansion we are currently seeking an experienced Coordinator to oversee the day to day operations of our Housing and Accommodation services.

The Role

This is a senior role and you will work under the direction of the Regional Manager to ensure the group homes are run effectively for our clients and their family's. The role will support further development and promote a quality person centred culture.

Specifically you will also be responsible for;

  • Day to day operations of accommodation centres
  • Ensuring individual care needs are met
  • Effective leadership in managing and supporting staff to deliver excellence
  • Managing a case load of participants
  • Assisting Service participants to strengthen their capacity to establish networks, maintain support services, linkages and relationships.
  • Assisting participants to converse/communicate with NDIA when required to support their own plan requirements.
  • Developing strong and collaborative working relationships with multiple services and service sectors to link and connect the Participant to achieve positive support outcomes

Skills Required

You are required to have relevant qualifications is disability and a have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.

You have also developed;

  • Knowledge of National Standards for Disability Services, all relevant Legislation, Regulatory requirements, Professional Standards and Guidelines applicable.
  • Demonstrated industry knowledge with emphasis on business performance, including effective management of funding, occupancy, human resource and budget controls.
  • Knowledge and understanding of administrative processes, systems and service delivery.
  • An ability to manage family, clients and other stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the NDIS and the ways it can be implemented.
  • A positive practice approach within a supported accommodation environment.

Relevant probity checks (police check, working with children), first aid certificate and a valid driver's licence are also mandatory requirements for this role.
