About the Role

We are currently seeking applications for the part-time role (22.5 hours per week) of Program Manager to support our Trauma Informed Services. This position can be based at either our Support Services at Eight Mile Plains, Robina venue, or Maroochydore venue.

 

The primary purpose of this position is to provide program leadership and support to the Operations Management Team and practitioners with respect to service model design, contract management, program performance and productivity measurement and reporting.

The Program Manager will collaborate with the Quality and Risk Management Team to lead process reviews for Models of Service and supporting documentation as a Subject Matter Expert, to support RAQ’s strategic agenda in maintaining ISO accreditation and meeting the requirements contained in the Human Services Quality Framework.

The position will also play a key role in collaborating with all levels of management in implementing, monitoring, and reviewing organisational strategy. This includes ensuring inter-departmental collaboration beyond individual portfolios, particularly in policy production, carrying out organisational improvement initiatives and risk management processes.

Some other major responsibilities of this position include:

  • Planning, communicating and advocating for strategies and initiatives to address the needs of the program/s. Ensuring strategies specified under the contract specifications are met, and funding requirements are fulfilled efficiently and effectively,
  • Analysing and responding to business information, in particular financial and activity data, to identify underperformance within programs and proactively recommend and drive operational improvements that enhance program performance,
  • Manage key external stakeholder relationships,
  • Supporting and advising on the design of training materials/programs, and
  • Propose and manage projects relevant to the team and portfolio.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess an undergraduate level qualification in Human Services or Social Sciences. Possession of other undergraduate qualifications or a postgraduate qualification in a discipline relevant to the chosen area of practice and a membership of a relevant professional body will be highly regarded.  Also previous experience working in a mental health context including in both a practitioner or coordinator position will be highly regarded.

The ideal applicant will also possess:

  • Demonstrated effectiveness in promoting a client-focused approach to the delivery and management of programs.
  • Experience in contract and financial management.
  • Experience working within the Not-for-Profit or community services sector.
  • Experience in leading case management based programs and services.
  • A sound understanding of service delivery frameworks and client practices in the modern Australian Not-for-Profit sector.
  • Familiarity with relevant funding body streams including community service governance and reporting requirements.
  • Solid leadership and emotional intelligence skills, with demonstrated ability to engage others, influence organisational culture, and provide direction.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for change and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Business and data analysis and process development skills.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, including an ability to prepare high level reports to the Executive and external parties.
  • Lateral thinking skills with an ability to manage a multitude of complex tasks and projects simultaneously.

The salary being offered is circa $83,067 to $88,964 per annum (pro rata for part-time), to be negotiated depending upon qualifications and experience, plus superannuation and generous salary packaging options where eligible which will significantly increase the value of take-home pay. Other attractive benefits are available including additional annual leave over the Christmas period, annual leave loading and study leave.
