Anglicare Tasmania is a non-profit organisation providing a wide range of community services to the people of Tasmania. We are part of the national Anglicare Australia network of organisations. Anglicare advocates for social justice and aids people in times of need. We provide programs relating to health, accommodation, families, substance abuse and more.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to work as a Mental Health Support Worker at our Curraghmore Residential and Recovery Support Service.

You will be responsible for providing recovery oriented support for participants by assisting them to maximise their independence and to facilitate their return to community living. 

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, cross-sectoral, team-based approach to service delivery with people with diagnosed mental health conditions;
  • The ability to be able to contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of training and other programs for participants;
  • A minimum qualification at the Certificate level in Mental Health (or relevant experience and willingness to undertake this level of training).
  • Accredited Medication Endorsement (training can be provided).

The successful applicants will be required to have a Schedule 1 National Police Certificate (no older than 12 months and not an annulled record), current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment category) as well as a pre-employment medical prior to commencement. On commencement the successful persons will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
