We support people who require individualised assistance to live at home due to disability, frailty or mental illness. Support Workers play an important role in our organisation. They provide quality services to people and they form an integral link with our teams.

We are looking for a reliable Support Worker with a passion for working with people to join a local team within the suburbs of Burswood, Manning and Como on a part-time basis.

Duties include:

  • Providing a range of support services including personal care, domestic assistance and social support
  • Providing reliable, timely and flexible services that best meet the needs of the individual and their family
  • Problem solving issues with the person and/or their family, and the team
  • Reporting issues and hazards as required to the Team Facilitator/Service Coordinator

What we require:

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker in Aged Care/ Disability field
  • Strong values that align with those of Avivo
  • Demonstrated reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively via emails, phone calls and texting with your team and think outside the box
  • A current driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (essential)
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts between 5pm - 7pm throughout the week and on the weekend.

In return, you will have access to some great benefits! A minimum hourly rate of $24.15 is on offer as is a travel allowance of 76 cents per kilometre between supports. Other benefits include the payment of travel time, the option of salary packaging up to $18,550 tax free, and accrued annual and personal leave.

Making an appointment to this position is subject to a satisfactory National Police Clearance.
