A great opportunity has become available with atWork Australia for an Employment Consultant based in our Cannington Office working Full Time on a fixed term contract until June 2020.

About The Job
Employment Consultants are responsible for the successful placement and transition of job seekers into sustainable employment and/or education, providing a high quality, individually tailored service, promoting atWork job seekers to both local and national employers.
As an Employment Consultant you will prepare jobseekers within the jobactive program for employment, and:

  • Place job seekers into sustainable employment leading to outcomes;
  • Actively reverse market participants to potential employers, including undertaking marketing activities to build employer networks and vacant positions.
  • Gain a good understanding of the local labour market needs and appropriately skill our jobseekers to best meet these needs;
  • Encourage and motivate jobseekers through appropriate activities to find their own employment;

About You
Your proven success and strong performance within the Employment Services industry will be complemented by your:

  • Experience and understanding of current Job Active contract;
  • Motivation and drive to achieve customer service and sales targets;
  • Case management or related experience;
  • Experience working with persons with complex barriers to employment;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with competing priorities;
  • Intermediate skills in the use of the Microsoft Office computing package;
  • Current Police Clearance no greater than 6 months old and ability to obtain Working with Children Check.
