We are looking for an enthusiastic Home care manager with a strong background in Aged Care to manage a culturally diverse service focusing on Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander community in Hervey Bay. This position is responsible for the operations of aged care package services and providing support and guidance to staff. 

 

The successful candidate will ensure maximum client satisfaction delivering the best customer service experience and involvement to new, existing and potential clients, their families and other key stakeholders while ensuring the financial viability of the Home aged care package service. 

 

Essential skills and experience:

•Minimum 5years experience working within a health/community related environment

•Understanding and demonstrated experience in client directed planning approaches

• Experience in the provision of case management/ Case Coordination.

•Experience of General Financial Management and monitoring of expenditure in line with a budget. 

•Ability to build and maintain affective relationships with all Key stakeholders that inspire, trust and respect, working comfortably with people from all different backgrounds. 

•Possess a thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, government policy, direction and modern trends in aged care and the implications for service delivery. 

• Experience providing supervision and mentoring to other staff 

• Have an extremely positive outlook and create an exciting positive team environment. 

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills 

• Good understanding of occcupational health and safety. and it’s practical application within a Home care environment. 

• High level of information Technology & literacy 

•Current open drivers licence and safe driving record 

•National Police check certificate

 

Desirable skills and experience: 

•registered General Nurse

•Experience in recruitment and performance management of staff. 

•Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply
