  • Do you have school aged children and you are ready to return to the workforce? Hours of operation are from 9am-3pm , five days per week.
  • Are you warm and friendly, patient and organised, flexible, reliable & a team player?
  • Applicants need to be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
  • Previous experience as a support worker is desirable but not essential

Our metropolitan South Division Lifestyle Options centres are located in Pakenham, Chelsea, Parkdale and Carnegie.

There is also the opportunity for Lifestyle Options staff to take on additional shifts at supported accommodation houses (AM/PM and some weekend availability, sleepover shifts etc) in addition to the above hours at Day Service.

The Role involves:

  • The people we support vary in their needs, ages and types of disability
  • Supporting customers on various programs e.g. swimming, art, bowling, balloon football etc.
  • Providing support to our customers to reach their personal goals. 
  • Assisting customers with their personal care needs.
  • Creating a pleasant environment for everyone to enjoy.

 

To be considered for one of our Support Worker roles, you must already have the following:

  • Satisfactory National police check for 'Employment in Disability'
  • An international police check if you have lived or worked overseas for longer than one (1) year within the last 10 years
  • Satisfactory Working with Children's Check
  • A current Level 1 First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
  • A current driver's license (highly desirable)

Successful applications MUST be available on Wednesday 1st August 2018 to attend a Group Assessment from 10.00am until 1.00pm at our office in Glen Waverley.

After successfully completing an interview, you MUST be available for 3 days consecutive paid Pre-employment training commencing Monday 13th August 2018 at Glen Waverley.
