We are seeking expressions of interest for people with experience within the alcohol and other drug (AOD) field to work alongside clients to improve their mental health and wellbeing.

Positions available in Sydney’s inner west region.

Key experience we are looking for:

• Case management and case planning

• Developing stakeholder relationships

• Working collaboratively with individuals living with persistent AOD concerns and complex needs

• Ability to provide formal and informal supports to clients and their children as required

• Ability to deliver effective and appropriate assessment, care-coordination, referral and support services

To be Successful:

• Bachelor Degree, Diploma, Certificate IV relevant to the community service industry

• Demonstrated experience within the alcohol and other drug field

• Excellent understanding of the complex range of issues involved in substance misuse, including working with women caring for children, young people and  people with co-occurring mental health concerns

• Demonstrated understanding of clinical issues in treating substance-misuse

• The ability to support people who are experiencing trauma and mental health concerns

• Understanding of the policy, legal and regulatory environment for treatment of substance-misuse and drug education

• Child protection and intervention experience highly desirable

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability to drive a passenger vehicle (i.e. mini bus)

• Current  First Aid Certificate or ability to acquire

• Current Working With Children’s Check or ability to acquire
