Sunnyhaven Disability Services has a 67 year history of providing services to people in the St. George area.  We offer a range of accommodation, early intervention and day program options for people with a disability.  At present our services are growing.

The Role and the Benefits

We currently have a vacancy for a Quality Managers who will be responsible for conducting audits, analysing the results and working collaboratively with the team to develop and implement improvement plans. More broadly, our Quality Manager will contribute in organisational activities with the aim to drive operational change, including the evaluation and development of policies and procedures and staff education programs

Key accountabilities of the role is:

  • Proactively leading all Quality related activities including the maintenance of ISO 9001 and Quality Innovation Performance certifications.
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing the quality management system whilst providing functional leadership for all quality programs
  • Recommend continuous improvement across the business
  • Conducting internal audits and providing audit reports
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety legislation, Codes of Practice, Regulations and Standards.
  • Communicate to staff and management on changes to legislation and regulatory requirements

 

Selection Criteria

To succeed in this role you will need previous experience in Quality and regulatory Management/Compliance (ISO). Requirements for this role include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quality Management
  • 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • experience in the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems
  • Experience in the disability sector
  • Experience or knowledge of NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework
  • Experience in implementing ISO9001
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • High level of writing skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lead and improve others
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with people from all backgrounds.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • A current valid NSW driver's licence.
