An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate and experienced Case Manager for temporary position working for a domestic violence, homelessness service provider in South Sydney. This is a great opportunity to be part of a well established and recognised community based organisation that has been supporting disadvantaged communities for over a century.

Responsibilities:

  • Effective case management and coordination of services for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness
  • Support clients access a range of relevant community resources, particularly in the areas of drug and alcohol rehabilitation, mental health, legal assistance, income support, employment and housing services
  • Develop goal orientated case plans and person centered plans reflecting trauma informed practices
  • Provide counselling and emotional support needs

Essential Criteria:

  • Diploma or higher level qualifications in Social Work/Social Science/Community Welfare or other relevant field 
  • Past experience working with homeless or socially disadvantaged client groups
  • Sound knowledge of trauma informed care practices, and of homelessness issues
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with an ability to relate positively and confidently with a wide range of people  
  • Sound knowledge of WHS legislation as it relates to the workplace. 
  • Sound understanding of child protection issues, domestic violence legislation and requirements
  • Drivers License
