Our client is a respected Not for Profit organisation who deliver a range of human service programs throughout Australia. Currently there is an exciting opportunity to manage the organisation's Out of Home Care Program and facilities in the Katherine Region.

As the Out of Home Care Program Manager, you will provide effective resources, oversight and manage Out of Home Care services for children and young people placed in care by Territory Families in Katherine. Additionally you will monitor service quality, support service improvements and ensure all data, reporting, contract obligations, and legislative requirements are met.

Katherine Out of Home Care Services are comprised of:

  • Katherine Alternative Care Service (KACS), a 24/7 General Residential Care service, providing trauma informed culturally appropriate direct care, support and supervision for up to four older children/young people (aged 12 -17 years).

  • Katherine Individual Residential Care Services (KIRCS), a 24/7 Community Based Children's Care service, providing trauma informed culturally appropriate direct care, support and supervision for up to four children/young people (aged 5 - 17 years).

Whilst Tertiary qualifications in Social Science or Community Services is desirable, demonstrated substantial experience in an equivalent role combined with a Diploma of Community Services may be considered. It is also highly desirable you have sound experience in:

  • Communication
  • Working with Vulnerable People
  • Staff Management
  • Residential Care Management
  • Working in a culturally sensitive environment
