Anglicare Tasmania is a non-profit organisation providing a wide range of community services to the people of Tasmania. We are part of the national Anglicare Australia network of organisations. Anglicare advocates for social justice and aids people in times of need. We provide programs relating to health, accommodation, families, substance abuse and more.
You will be responsible for effectively managing, leading and delivering effective, quality services that are aligned to the strategic direction, values and practice principles of Anglicare; whilst complying with legislative and contractual requirements.
This role provides effective leadership and supervision to the Rocherlea team as well as managing financial and physical resources associated with the program.
To be successful you will need:
- An understanding of the processes people utilises to overcome adversity and distress when facing life challenges;
- An ability to provide line and Practice supervision to a group of staff in a manner consistent with Anglicare’s values, Practice principles and workplace principles;
- Knowledge of practices related to providing support to people with a range of barriers and issues including mental illness;
- An understanding of the Anglicare practice framework and other standards relevant to the community services sector;
- Effective time management skills with the ability to develop, implement and coordinate activities of a group of workers.

The successful applicants will be required to have a Schedule 1 National Police Certificate (no older than 12 months and not an annulled record), current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment category) as well as a pre-employment medical prior to commencement. On commencement the successful persons will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
