About the Position

The 12 month Therapeutic Demonstration Project (TDP) is a client-centred trauma informed therapeutic response for children and their mothers who are victims of family violence. Evidence informed approaches to service design and delivery will be used to support trauma repair. The intervention will target children and their mothers from diverse populations, including but not limited to Aboriginal peoples, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) identified people, people with disabilities and older people.

The Therapeutic Family Violence Services Manager, will manage all aspects of the Therapeutic Demonstration Project (TDP) from establishment to evaluation and acquittal. Activities will include team recruitment, supervision, and coaching. As well as partnership working to design and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and their mothers impacted by family violence.

This position has responsibility for ensuring quality and compliance of programs, providing effective risk assessments, and program reporting. In addition, this position will work collaboratively with a Governance group to implement and maintain quality service delivery.

 

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience and ability to manage projects which achieve therapeutic outcomes.
  • Experience and skill in leadership including the ability to manage recruitment, supervision and the performance of clinical staff (Desirable).
  • Experience in delivering and supervising evidence-based therapeutic interventions which have targeted the impact of family violence.
  • Experience managing quality and compliance of programs, providing effective risk assessment, management and reporting of outcomes.
  • Willingness and ability to engage stakeholders and to work to effectively promote innovation, growth and best practice.
