The Role

A rewarding new role is available to assist the Team Leader School Crossings in running an efficient and effective school crossing service to schools and residents of the City of Casey. This position will monitor and supervise the operation of school crossings to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies and maintain processes to ensure all existing school crossings are supervised at all times when in operation.

The School Crossings Officer will assist in the recruitment and induction of new staff, encourage positive relationships with all staff, undertake OHS risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment and provide administrative support including rostering, reporting, authorising timesheets, ordering uniforms and equipment etc. They will also be required to arrange school crossing education and school traffic safety programs in preschools, primary and secondary schools.

About You

You will have demonstrated experience in regulatory administration, rostering or similar role and the ability to deal with conflict and stressful situations. You will have a good workable knowledge of MS Office suite and be quick to navigate new systems. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will put you in good stead to liaise with a variety of people from the Council and general public.
