The Reablement Support Workers at the City of Swan form a dynamic and dedicated team working with clients who are frail aged or living with dementia, as well as younger people with disabilities, to achieve their goals.
This is achieved by getting to know our diverse clients through engaging conversations, listening to what they used to do and what they would like to continue doing. We then facilitate activities, outings, events and transportation that support, encourage and reinvigorate our clients in their life’s journey.
We are now seeking enthusiastic casuals to join our team. The qualifications and skills required to be successful in this role include:
- Experience in the provision of community support for frail aged, people with disabilities and/or people with dementia;
- Possess sound conversational skills and communication techniques;
- Are professional, flexible and adaptable in all scenarios;
- Can demonstrate a strong desire to work with vulnerable people in our community and support the ethos of reablement and inclusion
- WA Police Clearance, Senior First Aid certificate and C Class drivers licence;
- Certificate III in Community Care is beneficial, though not essential
The salary being offered is on a casual basis with an hourly rate between $27.85 to $29.54 per hour plus 25% casual loading. Successful applicants will be working a variety of shifts Monday to Saturday inclusive of Friday evenings.
