Team Leader Maternal and Child Health (0.7 EFT)

The Position:
The City of Monash Maternal and Child Health Service currently has an exciting opportunity available for a suitably qualified and experienced professional to help lead our Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Service. The Team leader will supervise, lead and mentor Maternal Child Health (MCH) staff, providing clinical guidance and support the culture of excellence and best practice within the team. The team leader will work closely with the Coordinator of Maternal Child Health and the Team leaders in MCH and Immunisation to build a service strongly focused on collaboration, innovation, excellence in customer service to optimise the health and development of children and families across the City of Monash.
The successful applicant must have an understanding of providing services within the current Local Government environment with a sound up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge of family and child health and development along with the social care environment to support families. An understanding of child health and safety legislation and the ability to apply these to the guidelines and standards governing MCH practice is also required.
The position requires current registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia as both a registered nurse and a registered midwife and to hold recognised qualifications in maternal and child health nursing, current driver’s licence and Working with Children check.
