We provide a wide range of support services to individuals and families living with a disability, social support for seniors, Short Term Accommodation and deliver Out of Home Care for Children under the NT Care and Protection Act.

The role
We are currently seeking Allied Health professionals – Occupational Therapist and /or Speech Pathologist situated in our Katherine Office in the Northern Territory
These are newly created roles which will encompass our new placement program partnership with Flinders University. The role will supervise appropriate student placements undertaking Allied Health Disciplines of Occupational therapy and Speech Pathology with the view to extend this to Physiotherapy and Social Work.
This role will also qualify for Academic status associated with Flinders University
In this role the duties will include:
· Working closely with clients, families and stakeholders of the organisation
· Working collaboratively with other Katherine Organisations
· Providing necessary assessment and treatments in relation to client needs and goals
· Commitment to client outcomes and evidence based practice
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team environment
· Collaboration with Flinders University Placement Team regarding Student placements
Skills
· Provision of Occupational Therapy and/ or Speech Pathology services to clients, in clinic, home and community settings
· Strong emphasis on Assessment and development of Behaviour Support Plans
· New graduates are encouraged to apply
· Experience in or understanding of Aboriginal Culture (Cultural Orientation and support is ongoing for this role)
· Liaison with NDIA staff, Aged Care providers, Coordination of Supports and Plan Managers
· Superior time management and prioritisation skills
Qualification
· Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA or
· Speech Pathology and registration with Speech Pathology Australia

· National Police Clearance < 3 months
Other requirements
· Northern Territory C Class Licence or other state/ Territory equivalent
· First Aid Certificate
