We have immediate opportunities for passionate community domestic workers to join Silver Chain Group in the position of Home Help on both a Permanent part-time and Casual.  Shifts range from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 3pm, dependent on client needs across the metropolitan area, and surrounding outer-metropolitan areas.

Applicants will need to demonstrate flexibility and commitment to shifts on offer to ensure continuity of services to our clients.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to encourage and motivate clients to do as much for themselves as possible.
• Take pride in your work with the ability to prioritise workload and work independently. 
• Demonstrated skills in professional housekeeping and food preparation. 
• Candidates possessing a Basic First Aid Certificate will be highly regarded.
• Satisfactory national Police Certificate (on commencement of employment and updated every three years per the Aged Care Act 1997).
• Current motor vehicle driver’s licence (with no restrictions) and access to a reliable registered motor vehicle with a minimum of third party insurance.

Key Responsibilities

Our Home Helps deliver a high-quality service within client’s homes by assisting with domestic tasks that they are unable to do, and to encourage clients to actively participate in activities that maintain their independence.  Responsibilities can include general housekeeping (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting), making beds, laundry (washing and ironing), occasional shopping, assistance with correspondence and occasional food preparation.

Northern 2:

Northern 3:

Dianella, Nollamara, Yokine.

South 1:

North Fremantle, O'Connor, South Fremantle, White Gum Valley, Willagee.

South 2:

Our Process

Providing our clients with only the best in care and services is our number one priority. We run a competitive, multi-stage process to help us identify the best candidates to enable us to keep providing the best support to our clients.

1.  Should you be shortlisted we will invite you to complete an online video interview which helps us assess your suitability for the role.  

2.  If progressed to the next stage you will be invited to attend a ½ day group assessment where we can get to know you. Equally you will be provided with the information about Silver Chain to help you make the decision if this position is right for you…after all…this is a two-way-street!
