This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new and innovative. Mind is looking for multiple Mental Health Practitioners to join our new Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing. These roles are currently based in Nunawading and Dandenong and will be based throughout the South East of Melbourne later in 2018. Mind Centre’s offer a targeted range of supports and services that aim to maximise recovery outcomes.
In this role you will:
- work full time or part time, up to 38 hours per week on an ongoing contract
- be part of a group of staff delivering high quality services to our FFS clients
- work within a recovery oriented framework to support individuals, families and carers
- carry a case load of customer and develop trusting relationships with them
- enter client information in a timely manner
- network with external agencies and assist client to build networks and support in their local communities
You will have:
- tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or other health-related field as designated by Mind
- knowledge and experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable; coaching methodology, briefing interventions, family work, housing, employment and education, support coordination and/or drug and alcohol
- a passion for working productively with customers to achieve great outcomes
- the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- strong verbal and written communication skills
