About the role

ROLE
The role of the My Aged Care Support Worker (Cleaner) is to provide domestic assistance to My Aged Care program participants with Home Care Packages.
DUTIES
Deliver services in accordance with rostered hours and task lists.
Assist My Aged Care clients to achieve the outcomes shown in their Client Support Plan (CSP) and Home Care Package service agreement.
Undertake a range of domestic assistance tasks to assist the client as required under the client's CSP and Home Care Package service agreement.
Observe, document and report any changes in the client's behaviour, health and wellbeing.
Keep accurate and up to date client and administrative records.
Participate as required in all supervision and in-house training sessions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver services within the requirements of relevant industry guidelines around hazardous substances and cleaning materials.
Adhere to ADEC's policies and procedures at all times.Identify, report and follow up any Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) issues that may have potential to cause harm to My Aged Care Support Workers or clients.

Skills and experience

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
The My Aged Care Support Worker's performance will be measured against the following criteria:
 The success of Home Care Package domestic assistance activities, as indicated by client feedback.
 Meeting program targets.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
Previous experience in a comparable or similar position.
Mobile phone.
Ability to work without direct supervision, within guidelines and procedures.
Desirable
Previous experience of working with clients from ethnic backgrounds.
Second language.
