Essential Skills Training & Recruitment (RTO ID 91729) in partnership with Hunter Nursing (Healthe Care) is running a recruitment program to attract passionate people into the community services sector.
This program is a 4 week accredited training program where you will learn the basic skills and knowledge required to work in the home and community care sector. The course is broken down into 2 weeks classroom based training and 2 weeks of work experience placement (unpaid) with Hunter Nursing.
Upon successful completion of the 4 week training program, you will be awarded with a Statement of Attainment for the following units of competency:
- HLTWHS002 Follow safe work practices for direct client care
- CHCCCS011 Meet personal support needs
- CHCLEG001 Work legally and ethically
Hunter Nursing will select the candidates who best demonstrated on the job, a positive attitude, genuine compassion towards the residents and an eagerness to go on and complete a full traineeship in the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support.

You will need to be available to work shift work and/or weekends.
To be eligible for this program you must;
- Be 18 years old or over.
- No longer at school.
- Living or residing in NSW
- An Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen.
- Be open to having a criminal background check.
- Be physically able to perform personal care tasks.
- Be eligible for a traineeship. This will be assessed before entry to program.
