Our client is a tier 1 community housing provider based in a central location near Sydney’s CBD. They are currently seeking an experienced Allocations Coordinator for a full time permanent position. Reporting to the Manager of Tenancy Services, the role involves the management of a fair and efficient allocations service.
The key responsibilities of this role would include but not be limited to the following:
- Manage the Housing Waiting List through the provision of comprehensive advice and information to applicants seeking affordable housing opportunities
- Manage and monitor the allocation of housing properties, ensuring that the Allocations Policy is consistently applied, ensuring the effective use of properties
- Assist the Tenancy Services Manager in the coordination the company’s marketing and corporate communication requirements
- Meet operational targets and expectations - maintain a strong customer focus at all times in line with our commitment to providing high quality services
- Other duties as directed
Essential skills/Experience:
- Relevant experience in the social/affordable housing sector
- Sound understanding of the Residential Tenancy Act
- Strong relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good time management and organisational skills
