THE ROLE

We are excited to offer this role to someone whom is  dynamic, creative & self driven to enable quality of life outcomes to our customers & believes  great things are possible. 

This position is pivotal to Carers Link’s continued growth of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service. This role will also allow you to scope new opportunities within the local community to assist people with disability, their families and carers to be active members of the community by linking in and facilitating social and economic inclusion. You will also actively promote and participate in Carers Link’s range of recreational and social services as well as our key support programs throughout our community networks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generate new NDIS business and increase NDIS customer referrals, by expanding Carers Link’s market base by promoting services to the community
  • Conduct NDIS guide assessments and prepare the planning conversations with participants
  • Assist the Chief Services Executive with ongoing training to staff to ensure their knowledge of the NDIS is current
  • Providing person centred case management, lifestyle planning and community linking support to clients and encourage greater community participation
  • Full facilitation of organising recreational activities & programs, including camps, expos, social events etc.
  • Being part of a friendly and committed team working towards  shared vision values
  • Being innovative in identifying program development pathways that encourage employment, Social Enterprise and building relationship opportunities
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with a wide community network, including health services, community agencies, government and business
  • Complying with Carers Link’s policies and procedures and positive contribution
  • Conducting administrative tasks as required

 

The successful candidate must be willing to obtain a Blue Card and undergo a national police check.
