The Role:

Within this permanent full-time position you will be required to work closely with the Specialist Services team and a network of stakeholders. This is a crucial position which will provide Specialist Support Coordination to participants funded under the NDIS and who have complexities that require a specialist worker to assist them to coordinate the supports in their Plan and achieve their stated goals.

About you:

Our successful candidate will be an experienced Social Worker and have a keen focus in working with vulnerable people including people with intellectual and/or psychosocial disability. You will also hold as a minimum, an undergraduate degree in Social Work and eligibility for AASW membership.

You will also come with:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NDIS and what it means for participants, particularly those with complex needs
  • Knowledge of and commitment to a non-judgemental, participant-directed approach supporting full choice and control
  • High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain relationships within a team, with participants, across service providers and with various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated organisation skills to effectively manage workload and meet deadlines
  • High level of problem solving skills to successfully identify problems, develop solutions and implement these using a logical and systematic approach
  • Demonstrated competence in computer applications i.e. Microsoft Word and Spreadsheet functions
  • National Police Check, Working With Children Check, Disability Workers Exclusion Scheme Check, and full Driver's License. An International Police Check will be required for applicants who have lived or worked out of Australia in the two years prior to applying.
