About us:
Our Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Service in Central QLD (Rockhampton, Gladstone, Emerald, Biloela and Blackwater) provides a client-centred, stepped care model including a specialised methamphetamine focus. It offers individual and group counselling, pre- and post-rehabilitation support, relapse prevention, case management, day programs, care planning and care coordination for clients with AOD dependence, dual diagnosis and complex needs.
Lives Lived Well is a leading, not-for-profit organisation delivering innovative and accessible services aimed at influencing behaviour, reducing harm, aiding recovery and bringing about positive change in people's lives.
About the role:
We are looking for passionate professionals to be an integral part of creating and delivering this new service providing holistic support to our clients. This position will be based in either Rockhampton, Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald or Blackwater. Your role will entail providing services to clients in these areas.
The role will provide you with the opportunity to:
- Provide high quality engagement, assessment, counselling and support services to clients
- Manage a case load of clients, including in an outreach capacity, through providing support, service coordination, referral and advocacy to assist client in achieving their goals.
- Work with clients to develop, implement and review individual treatment goals
- Ensure continuity of care by effectively communicating within the multidisciplinary team and across interfaces with other health care providers.
- As an experienced professional you will be
- Tertiary qualifications in a related area health services discipline or equivalent experience
- Applied knowledge in contemporary evidence based AOD counselling practice, case management and intake and assessment
- Highly developed communication and community engagement skills
- Hold a current Australian issued Drivers Licence.
- Able or hold a current Working with Children Check (e.g. Blue Card).
