Library Officer
The City of Monash is a dynamic organisation committed to providing excellence in service delivery. Located in the eastern region, Monash is a cosmopolitan and culturally diverse city close to the demographic centre of Melbourne.
The Position:
Library Officers at Monash Public Library Service enjoy customer service, problem solving, and have great computer and digital literacy skills. They work on the front line engaging with our diverse community and assist with program delivery.
What you need:
High level customer service skills
- Resilience and a positive attitude, especially within a team environment
- Sound computer and digital literacy skills
- Public library experience or other library front line experience
- Excellent time management skills
- A minimum of Year 12
- A current driver’s license
- Adequate fitness to bend, lift, squat and carry loads
- Ability to speak a language or languages other than English is advantageous.
The successful applicant will be required to work a 35 hour week with rostered desk shifts at all 6 branches on weekdays, up to 1 evening per week and weekends, which includes Saturdays & Sundays, according to the requirements of the roster.

Salary range: $53,499 – $57,861 per annum (plus superannuation)
