Stirling Skills Training (SST) has been involved in the employment and training market for over 40 years, delivering services to disengaged young people, mature aged adults, and the long-term unemployed.
SST is delivering the Transition to Work program along the Northern and Southern Perth Metropolitan Corridor (Perth North and Perth South). The Transition to Work program is aimed at assisting young job seekers obtain and maintain full-time employment. The program is administered by the Department of Employment.
Due to continued growth of the program we are seeking a suitable Career Advocate to work in our Fremantle office.
The Career Advocate will be responsible for engaging with and assisting the young jobseeker build the foundations for a sustainable career. The Career Advocate is a key person within the program. They are responsible for the management of activities, both group and individual, designed to encourage and support the young person in their pathway to a career.
To be successful for the positions above, you must have experience in or possess the following attributes:
- Appropriate qualifications in a youth related; business development or humanities field;
- Have passion or experience in working with young people from a variety of backgrounds;
- Able to work in an autonomous environment;
- Have knowledge of the local labour market, community groups and local stakeholders;
- Be a results driven and motivated individual with a high level of initiative;
- Be able to work to KPI and deadlines
- Possess excellent administration and time management skills;
- Some intra-state travel will be required for some roles.
