DisabilitySupport Worker

BRC are currently looking for dedicated casual workers to support clients with Complex Intellectual Disabilities.

You will join an established team of competent and hardworking support workers who rely on great team work to implement strategies and provide consistent care for clients to achieve their goals on a day to day basis. We are looking for resilient, calm and patient support workers who are driven and dedicated to working in what can be a tough environment at times, where structure and consistency is key.

Essential requirements:

• Cert III or IV in Disability (or Relevant Qualification)
• Paid working experience in a crisis/challenging behavioural residential living environment (Minimum of 450 hours)
• Able to think dynamically in challenging situations
• Demonstrated experience with personal care and administering medication
• Outstanding interpersonal skills & Risk Management Skills
• Current unrestricted NSW driver’s license and access to own vehicle.
• A current first aid certificate (or willing to apply)
• NSW Working with Children’s Check (or Willing to apply)
• Willing to work flexible hours - day shifts, night shifts, sleepover shifts and active night shifts
• Excellent written and communication skills
