Team Leader
Two (2) positions
Community Services – located in the Northern Suburbs
Permanent 40 hours per week
Level 1- $30.00 per hour (plus the ability to Salary Package)
About the role
The Team Leader is a leadership role that assists to develop and establish a contemporary model of personalised support in line with Ability Centre’s vision. The Team Leader is based in a shared living home and leads a team of Residential Care Workers to provide support to customers with daily living needs and accessing the community.
Essential Criteria
To assist customers to achieve their goals and further explore their interests the Team Leader will have skills and experience to enable them to:
- Lead a team of staff in a collaborative style;
- Ensure the supports and services are delivered in accordance with the National Standards for Disability Services and are person centred;
- Listen to each of the customers and ensure the support each person receives is person centred;
- Coordinate other supports as required;
- Provide an excellent level of care as each person has varied and complex needs; and
- Communicate positively with customers, their families, friends, and staff.
