Responsibilities include:

• Willingness to provide personal care duties is essential
• Manual handling
• Experience working with behaviors of concern
• Facilitate activities to promote independence
• Complete accurate daily progress notes and other behaviour recording tools
• Operate in accordance with relevant legislation and standards
• working as a collaborative member of a team

Selection criteria:

• Previous experience as a support worker within mental health and or disability is required.
• Demonstrated experience with and or an understanding of supporting an individual with approved restrictive practices and a positive behavior support plan - (not essential however would be beneficial)
• Confident problem solver and decision maker
• Strong numeracy, literacy and computer skills
• Valid driving licence and own vehicle is essential
• Be values driven, client centered and committed to positive outcomes

Other requirements.

• First Aid - Desirable
• CPR - Desirable
• Blue Card - or be willing to obtain one
• Yellow Card - or be willing to consent to police check
• Drivers Licence and Car
