We are currently recruiting for a number of Housing Manager's for our client, a well regarded community based organisation on a permanent basis. Positions are available in both Chatswood and West Ryde and the salary is from $72-$76k + super + salary packaging (commercial value of overall package is $87-91K)

The Housing Manger is responsible for providing tenancy and property management services to an allocated portfolio of properties and their related tenants within the guidelines of policy and procedures and the Residential Tenancy Act. This is done whilst providing exceptional client service specific to the needs of low income households and promoting tenant engagement in relevant capacity and community building programs.

You will be responsible for:

• Support clients within the portfolio sustain their tenancies by maintaining relationships with support providers and linking clients to their programs that reduces tenant dependency

• Ensure the portfolio meets its financial goals and targets through the effective management of rent assessments and rent arrears and other tenant debt and managing voids and vacant times in line with business KPI’s.

• Manage and sustain tenancies in the portfolio by providing client focused service through excellence in tenancy management and managing tenancy complains and appeals to effective resolution.

• Promote arrears best practice to ensure early intervention with tenants to prevent rent and non-rent arrears.

In order to be considered for this role you will need:

• NSW Driver's License (Essential)

• Own Vehicle (Desirable)

• Relevant Social Housing qualification or equivalent working experience in the Community Housing sector or Government Housing (FACS etc) would be highly desirable

• Candidates with experience of working within Real Estate, Property or the Disabilities sector would also be considered.
