About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Residential Case Worker to join our  dedicated team  based at our Southern Women’s Integrated Support Service (SWISS) which is a secure, purpose-built refuge facility offering independent accommodation for women and children 24-hours a day.

Working within a case management framework, you will be providing a crisis response which includes the provision of information, advocacy, referrals and support to women and women with children experiencing, or escaping from, family violence who provide information, referrals, and support within a case management framework.

Ideally you will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, welfare or similar with a demonstrated understanding and experience working with social justice principles. You’ll have prior experience providing case management support to women and their children in a 24/7 residential setting, with a developed understanding of family violence and homelessness.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively and sensitively with clients from a variety of backgrounds. You will work well under pressure, confident in working both autonomously and as part of a team. Strong computer literacy with a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite of programs is a requirement of this role. A Victorian drivers licence is also a requirement.
