This organisation invests in you as you devote your skills to ensuring best practice delivery of community services and projects.

As a key member of the SW Brisbane area leadership team, working in parallel with other senior managers of this huge, long established community services organisation, your role will be to stand at the right hand of the Area General Manager.

From this influential position, you will lead and manage the delivery of Disability Support across the Brisbane South West region.

This a complex role with enormous scope, at once strategic, autonomous and collaborative, and made even more enlivening since it comes at the culmination of a period of intensive analysis and planning by this large, long-lived, Church-based organisation.

From here, the direction is mapped; the vision clear; all support and resources are ready for deployment.

Fluid and evolving – only gaining its final coherency as this organisation determines the absolute best ways to consistently deliver superb, best practice service to its varied clientele – this is a big, busy role best suited to a lucid, visionary but pragmatic communicator.

Steady hands and your proven capacity to operate responsively in a business environment comparable to today’s ambiguous, mutable community services setting is critical to being successful.

In short, you will need to ensure that the whole service continues to tick over, serving its clients perfectly no matter what else may be going on, as in such a changing environment it’s always wise to expect the unexpected.

At the same time, you are tactically building the organisation’s brand, growing its services and client base, continually improving customer service standards and building strong teams internally and across the region. And that’s just the beginning of what promises to be a very exciting story!

To be in contention for this exceptional role, you should have tertiary qualifications in Social Services, Human Services, Management or similar along with proven business acumen, financial intelligence and experience in maintaining the smooth operation of a large business under conditions of change.

Success managing a multi-site, service delivery area, particularly in the non-profit sector,  computer proficiency and team building skills in a customer service business will enhance your application.
