Casual Disability Support Worker

Health Care Australia is inviting experienced support workers in Newcastle to assist clients in their homes and in the community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one to one care, developing the clients daily living skills, providing assistance with personal care needs, facilitating community access, promoting clients independence and personal goals, assisting with medication and other duties as specified on clients care plan.
This role will suit someone who is self-motivated, organised and flexible. Successful applicants must be able to work unsupervised and have a good understanding of care plans and capacity building.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- 12 Months minimum experience caring for people with a disability of all age groups
- Minimum of 20 hours per week availability
- Must be available to work flexibly across the day (shifts could include shorter or longer shifts and can vary between AM, PM and Night shifts)
- Valid Drivers License and own Transport
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Police & Working With Childrens Check Certificate (we can assist you with these)
