At the Salvation Army Employment Plus (EPlus), our experienced employment teams have been empowering people to find the right job since 1998 as part of the Australian Government's Employment Services network.  We've worked with over 200,000 businesses across Australia and seen well over half a million Australians successfully placed in employment. 

As an Indigenous PPS Mentor in our high performing team, you'll be responsible for our Indigenous candidates who have moved to employment, you'll be keeping in contact with them and their employer for the first three months in their new job to ensure they both have everything they need for your candidate to maintain ongoing employment whilst identifying any future employment opportunities with those employers.

You will have a demonstrated understanding and awareness of Indigenous culture. This is an outcomes focused role which provides a post placement support service to both employers and EPlus Indigenous job seekers.  Implementing strong post placement support increasing sustained employment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, the role will contribute to EPlus becoming a provider of choice within the sector.

The Indigenous PPS Mentor must establish and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with local employers and with Indigenous job seekers who have been placed into employment by EPlus.

To be successful in your new role with us, you'll:

  • Be driven by having clearly measured targets and achieving them in a fast paced environment;
  • Have previous mentoring and/or employment services experience
  • Demonstrated experience building rapport with internal and external stakeholders
