Kidney Health Australia is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving health outcomes and quality of life for people living with kidney disease, their families and carers.  Our mission is to promote good kidney health through education, advocacy, research and support.

About the role

Newly created national role, the aim of this role is to lead and manage the establishment and delivery of a federally-funded peer support and education program, the Kidney Health Australia Youth Program, for young people (15-24 years) with advanced kidney disease.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day design, delivery, implementation and evaluation of the 24-month work plan for the national Youth Program including but not limited to, developing and updating educational resources, developing and delivering peer support groups and undertaking research including a national survey and state based focus groups
  • Undertake all necessary internal and external program reporting responsibilities and manage the delegated Youth Program budget
  • Build and maintain relationships with a range of clinical and corporate stakeholders to maximise the impact, uptake and future funding of the Kidney Health Australia Youth Program
  • Represent Kidney Health Australia at relevant national stakeholder conferences and meetings as required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, nursing, allied health, social sciences or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management, with examples of leadership and project deliverables
  • Values compatible with Kidney Health Australia culture and a commitment to helping others
