COMMUNITY LAWS OFFICER

Permanent Full Time

Council is seeking an individual with an enthusiasm to administer Council’s Local Laws, Animal Control and Community Laws programs. The successful applicant will be able to apply the relevant legislation in a consistent, courteous and reasonable manner. Applicants will need to show a strong commitment to customer service and be able to deal with conflict situations in a calm and confident manner.

As well as being an outstanding Community Laws/Animal Management Officer, you will possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact within a team environment on a daily basis. You will also be able to work using your own initiative and be able to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders in a confident and polite manner.

A Certificate IV in Animal Control & Regulation or Local Government (Regulatory Services), or similar qualification is desirable. 

An annualised salary of $70,517.08 per annum plus superannuation applies to the position.

The role requires participation in rostered weekday shifts, regular weekend and after hours work.

A current Victorian Drivers Licence is mandatory and appointment to this position is subject to a satisfactory Police Check and Working with Children Check.
