At House with No Steps, we believe that the most important role is that of a Support Worker. It takes an extraordinary type of person to work in this role and right now, multiple opportunities exist for Support Workers to join our collaborative teams across Southern NSW and ACT.

We're looking for a passionate team player who has extensive experience in and a genuine interest in empowering and enriching the lives of people with a disability.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Level 3 Support Worker, you are directly responsible for the day to day support, personal care and personal development of our customers. You will provide a range of community living services to assist people with a disability to be actively involved in their local community, be valued and respected and engaged in meaningful opportunities and relationships. Additionally you will be required to assist in supervising and coaching a team and maintaining high customer service standards. This is a part time role with the opportunity to work up to full time hour.

ABOUT YOU

We're interested in extraordinary people who have:

  • Extensive experience in disability or similar human services sector.

  • Qualifications: Certificate IV in Disability

  • Proven experience in supervising and coaching a team and setting/maintaining high standards

  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to demonstrate active listening skills to assist with providing opportunities for our customers to live a great life

  • An enthusiastic, flexible and resilient attitude with a growth mindset

  • Well-developed communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

  • Sound computer competency with MS Office

  • The ability to work flexibly across a 24 hour roster, including sleep over shifts

  • A current First Aid Certificate and Driver's Licence
