The Ageing and Inclusion team aims to deliver quality care and wellbeing programs and services that are responsive to community need. We encourage and support older people, people with a disability and their carers to be informed, connected, resilient and to fully participate in community life.


We have a part time opportunity for you to join our Ageing and Inclusion team!


How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…
Reporting to theTeam Leader Community Wellbeing, you will be responsible for activities such as:

  • Coordinating activities related to a strategic project
  • Production of reports and any materials
  • Awareness-raising of Ageing and Inclusion projects to Council
  • Coordinating communications and community information for the Ageing and Inclusion team.


What are we looking for?

Key to your success is a self-starter who has a strong background in project management and is complemented by your community engagement and strategic planning skills.

Excellent communication both written and oral is a given as you will be interacting with internal City of Melbourne teams/branches and community groups enabling effective relationship building.


You can bring

  • Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence
  • Tertiary qualification to a degree level in a professional discipline directly relating to services provided by the team
  • Knowledge of the aged care reforms and the NDIS and experience in the aged care sector.
  • Skills and experience in project management, program planning and evaluation
  • Excellent written communication skills with extensive experience in report writing, development of community information and communications
  • Highly developed verbal communications skills with extensive experience in presenting concise and clear information to management
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills.
