Our purpose is to serve our residents and customers and be the best retirement community owner, operator and care services provider for older Australians. RetireAustralia currently operates a portfolio of 27 established villages throughout New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.
We are seeking an experienced Care Support Worker to join our hard working and dedicated Home Care team on a casual basis for an immediate start. This role is based at our Tarragal Glen Retirement Village, situated in Erina on the beautiful Central Coast, but is required to work across our four retirement Villages.
As we are a seven day a week operation and this position is required to work shifts that cover weekends, days and evenings.
You will:
- Support and assist with activities of daily living, including mobility, continence management, showering, dressing, meal preparation assistance, personal grooming
- Domestic assistance and management of personal laundering for residents requesting this service
- Manage and control emergencies, and maintaining safety following safe working practices and Company policies and procedures relating to the well being of residents, staff and visitors that occur on village property
- Any other reasonable duty requirement as requested
The successful applicant finds working with seniors a rewarding experience, enjoys contributing to our overall success in providing our customers support to reach goals and continue to live independently and will have the following:
- Certificate III in Aged Care
- Comprehensively insured and reliable car and full driver’s licence
- Confidence using a smart device or willingness to learn
- Work well within a team, but also autonomously when required
- Well developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a well presented, cheerful and positive disposition
- Strong ability to prioritise tasks
- A genuine interest in supporting clients to live as independently as possible
If you are successful in the role a current Police Check and First Aid Certificate will be required.
