Work for an organisation that provides support to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) individuals. Assisting them to navigate the NDIS and develop their skills, encourage individuals to personally navigate their own support networks.

This role will involve;
  • Provide high-quality advocacy support for individuals coming from a CALD background
  • Collaborate with the participant to establish and coordinate positive relationships with their support networks
  • Assist the NDIS participant to identify links and coordinate support to link with local communities
  • Raise awareness of the right of people with disability in the community
  • Network with government and nongovernment organisation and other relevant stakeholders for purposes of individual advocacy matters
The requirements for this role include;
  • Demonstrated experience in advocating for people’s rights
  • Experience in community development and networking
  • Experience coordinated planning within the NDIS disability sector
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
