Do you have what it takes to be a Community Mental Health Practitioner with one of Australia’s leading mental health providers? Join our new Dual Disability Service located in Cheltenham. The service will provide community based supported accommodation for adults living with co-existing intellectual disability and mental health.
As part of the team at Mind you will:
- work on an ongoing contract with various part time hours available
- work within a 24 hour 7 day per week rotating roster including weekends and sleepover shifts
- assist with the provision of services to clients, families and carers in line with Mind’s Model of Recovery Oriented Practice
- work collaboratively with the customer to action their individual recovery plan and develop daily living skills
- facilitate and design group work programs that will assist customers to build their skills and focus on their recovery
- assist the customer with accessing a range of local service providers
You will have:
- tertiary qualifications (minimum certificate IV) in Disability, Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other health related field as designated by Mind
- experience in Disability will be highly regarded
- experience in providing recovery oriented services to individuals with a co-existing intellectual disability and mental health diagnosis
- knowledge and understanding of mental ill-health and services available in the community
- skills and experience in advocacy, collaboration and problem solving
