We’re an organisation with a bold vision to create a safe and inclusive community freed of crime and prisons. It’s our goal to reduce re-offending and our mission is to help people transition from prison, assist them in the community, stop them from re-offending, and intervene to divert others from committing crime.

 

About the Program

Our unique new program is the first of its kind in Australia and has been operating since 2016. It is an innovative partnership between our commercial investor NAB, ACSO and NSW Government to take a new approach to addressing persistent challenges in the justice system. The investment will support OnTRACC to work with parolees to prevent reoffending and re-incarceration. Read more about the program here.

About the role

Your will be responsible for scheduling and conducting assessments for OnTRACC client referrals. Through these assessments, you will identify a clients’s criminogenic needs, risks and personal strengths with the aim of developing a transition plan to support the client safely back into their community.

Under the guidance of the Team Leader, you will commence service planning, develop the risk management plan and work closely with OnTRACC staff and Corrective Services NSW to ensure that the service achieves targets, meets KPIs and contractual outcomes. 

Based in ACSOs newly refurbished office in Rockdale you will have the specialised skills and experience of the wider team to call upon. 

 

Who we are looking for

We are most focused on finding someone with the right attitude who is flexible, willing to learn and a team player. You will also:

  • Ethical, self-motivated and committed to helping others achieve their goals
  • Minimum Cert IV level qualification in a related field 
  • Experience working with or knowledge of clients within the criminal justice system, particularly those transitioning back in to the community
  • A pro-social approach in supporting and facilitating behaviour change
  • Established relationships with or knowledge of appropriate support service agencies relevant to this field of work
  • A strong sense of personal accountability and resilience
