ECT job in small 29 place childcare in Parramatta. Opportunity to progress into Educational Leader
Your new company
This small 29 place long day care centre in Parramatta is in need of an Early Childhood Teacher to join their close knit team. The centre has been operating for over 10 years and has been converted from a small cottage, so has home away from home feel. The outdoor space was recently renovated and creates natural opportunities for children to engage with nature.
Due to the size of the centre and the close knit environment, the team operates very collaboratively and all take responsibility for the program and bringing new ideas to the service.
Your new role
As an ECT you will take responsibility for programming, planning and developing the educational program across the centre, as well as focusing on school readiness for this small group. Due to the collaborative nature of the team, the role can be quite flexible either working with the preschool age or the babies. There is also opportunity for you to step into the Educational Leader role, or training into this position, if desired.
What you'll need to succeed
- Early Childhood Teacher degree or ACECQA equivalent
- Collaborative teaching approach
- Good knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
- Passion for working with children 0 - 5 years
- New graduate ECTs are welcome to apply
