Childcare Centre Director | Manager | Coordinator
A beautiful 70-place Childcare Centre located on a picturesque, tropical island in Australia’s Top End is looking for their new Director.

The Centre
Seagrass Early Learning is a community-focused, values-based, state of the art Centre located on Groote Eylandt (90-minute flight from Darwin) in the Northern Territory. In addition to the recently built 50-place long day care facility, the centre has a newly renovated OSHC space within the local primary school.
The Opportunity
With a well-established and dedicated team of educators, you will have the opportunity to further build on the dynamic culture, relationships with children, families and community members, and be part of the development and delivery of the Centre’s strategic business plan. The role is hands on and will require you to be able to divide your time between daily centre management, key stakeholder management, time on the floor, development and review of policies and procedures, longer term strategic planning and broader community engagement.

Skills and qualifications
- Diploma of Children’s Services (a Bachelor of Early Childhood is highly desirable);
- Experience as either a centre director or assistant director;
- Experience with Qikkids childcare software
- Experience in non profit/committee managed centres would be highly regarded
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Current if rst aid, anaphylaxis and asthma certifications; and
- Hold, or can obtain, a current and valid Ochre Card.
