Surf Life Saving NSW is looking for 2 – 3 RTO trainers (casual) to join the movement, who facilitate and deliver units of competency from the Training and Education Training Package (TAE10) to its endorsed Trainers, Assessors and Facilitators (TAFs).
Surf Life Saving NSW is the state’s primary water safety and rescue organisation and one of the largest volunteer movements in the country. We support more than 76,000 members in 129 clubs to serve the community through the provision of beach patrol services, coastal emergency response, training and education, sports and junior development.
Some of the duties will include:
- Deliver and assess training for a variety of volunteer groups across the state;
- Support the implementation and validation of new course resources;
- Ensure course paperwork is accurately completed for each training course and submitted to Surf Life Saving NSW.
Essential Qualification and Experience Required
- Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or Diploma of Training Design and Development;
- Demonstrated ability to deliver accredited training programs, specifically in relation to training delivery and assessment;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with excellent interpersonal skills;
- An outgoing and engaging personality and extensive training experience with a flair for classroom facilitation;
- Be flexible to travel within the Central Coast and/or regional NSW areas
The right person for this role is an energetic people-person who demonstrates an obvious passion for vocational training and have a high-level knowledge of the VET industry, AQF, training packages, and thorough assessment practices.

- Position: Casual – as per operational requirements
